SKYE CALLANTINE- FOUNDER & CEO
Skye has over two decades of experience creating, growing and managing businesses. He currently serves as the President and CEO of Validus Energy. He previously founded Felix Energy in 2013 and under his leadership, Felix built and sold over $7.0 billion of oil & gas assets consisting of upstream projects, midstream assets and mineral interests. Skye also founded Fortis Minerals in 2016. Prior to founding Felix Energy and Fortis Minerals, Skye worked for Chesapeake Energy and ConocoPhillips where he served in numerous leadership roles in North America, South America and Asia.
Skye served in the United States Air Force. He received a Bachelor of Science in geophysical engineering from Montana Tech and a Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma State University.
STEVEN FOLSE, CFA- Managing Partner
Steven’s responsibilities include financial modeling, investment research, sourcing, structuring and executing buyout, growth equity and real estate transactions. Steven has over ten years of capital markets experience, including serving as Senior Associate at Denver based PE firm Bow River Capital and five years as an associate analyst in Equity Research at Stifel Nicolaus, where he covered a number of sectors including Infrastructure, Industrial, and Upstream Energy.
Steven holds a Masters in Finance, with an Energy Specialization from Tulane University, and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Colorado State University. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
Peggy Herald- vice president
Peggy is responsible for the accounting, tax, and finance functions of Vigeo. Peggy has over twenty years of accounting and finance experience in the oil and gas industry in various roles including Chief Accounting Officer, Treasurer, and Controller for several publicly traded corporations and partnerships. She also has five years of experience in public accounting at KPMG and Deloitte & Touche.
Peggy holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.
Andrew Billingsley, CPA - Associate
Andrew is an Associate on Vigeo’s investment team. Andrew is responsible for investment research, due diligence, financial modeling, originating buyout, recapitalization, growth capital, and real estate transactions. Prior to joining Vigeo, Andrew was a Senior Associate within KPMG’s deal advisory practice, specializing in TMT M&A transactions.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance & Accounting from Marietta College. Andrew is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Ohio and Colorado.
Kelly Nairn- Office MANAGER
Kelly has over fifteen years of experience working in multiple diverse and specialized industries, with her last seven years focused on oil and gas . Kelly joined Felix Energy in early 2016 serving as the Executive Assistant to the President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Felix, Kelly worked for over five years at Samson Resources as a Sr. Land Technician, and in the Real Estate and Title Industry in Texas.
Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from Texas State University.
JOHN C NIEMI- STRATEGIC ADVISOR
John previously served as CEO of Motion & Flow Control Products, an industrial distributor and HVAC manufacturer’s representative firm based in Littleton, CO. He built the business from six branches to thirty during his seven years as CEO. Prior to that, he was the vice president responsible for operating the industrial distribution division. As a long-time member of the ownership team, he participated in interviewing and selecting the private equity firm that purchased a majority interest in the company in 2006. During this period, he gained extensive knowledge about private equity’s expectations and operating a business in a leveraged environment.
KEVIN COOK- STRATEGIC ADVISOR
Kevin is the Managing Partner of Gene Cook Real Estate, a private real estate firm operating in the Gallatin Valley of Montana since 1971. The firm currently manages a large commercial, residential, and multi-family portfolio in southwest Montana. Kevin actively manages the development of residential and commercial projects for both Gene Cook Real Estate and Top Star Properties. Prior to his current position Kevin owned and operated various construction and engineering businesses. Kevin is an active investor in numerous businesses from hotels to private oil and gas investments.
Currently he serves as a board member for First Security Bank, North Seventh Urban Renewal District and the Belgrade School Foundation. Kevin received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Montana State University.
